While you make your judgments, let me tell you about an activity that made an otherwise MEH party the social event of the century. 

Did I strongly encourage my guests to enter into an important decorating competition? Yes. Did they all enjoy it and get to know each other during this stupid activity? Yes. Did my friend Britta save my life by making all the frosting? YES. 

HOW TO DO THIS TOO:

Custom Cookie Cutter - Pick a clear photo of yourself - almost like a passport photo. I purchased my cookie cutter from this company but I'm not totally convinced so look around for yourself. 

Sugar Cookie Recipe - This was the recipe I followed - I thought the dough was solid. Do not use store bought dough the cookies will spread like a mofo. 

Frosting Spread - Have an array of frostings and sprinkles at the ready for your guests. If my friend had not found me in a heap of overwhelmedness 15 minutes before my party there would not be frosting made. She made all the frosting and saved my life. That's why you throw parties... so you can have friends.
